Ms. Fernstrom is responsible for the success of many new ventures and for substantially growing established brands globally for broad range of IP, across a vast range of categories and global territories including Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. She has an in depth knowledge of the marketplace’s nuances, shifts, and new directions and extensive experience in brand development, licensing, private equity and M&A.
She managed the global growth plan for Ben Sherman and Bruno Magli. In this capacity, she was responsible for sourcing and closing all new licensing agreements with global territory operators to operate mono-branded retail stores, ecommerce, wholesale and new categories.
Prior to Lyft Brands Group, Ms. Fernstrom was and agent at United Talent Agency and Creative Artists Agency for almost ten years where she played an instrumental role in corporate development, acquisitions, new digital ventures and licensing on behalf of her own and the agencies clients including celebrities, digital influencers, fashion brands, retailers and technology companies. Prior to joining Creative Artists Agency, Fernstrom was an associate at NBC Universal.
As part of Ms. Fernstrom’s long passion for giving back, she’s been a driving force behind many non-profit organizations. Most recently Fernstrom served as the Co-Chair for UN Women. Previously, she ran the CAA Task Force, leveraging the entertainment industry’s reach to directly create positive social change, encourage volunteerism, and raise public awareness and funds for critical issues.
Mr. Schanen s a retail industry leader with extensive experience in e-commerce, strategic planning, product and brand development, talent development and leased businesses for top U.S. retailers in apparel, footwear and accessories.
Mr. Schanen previously served as SVP & GMM of Macys.com for Men’s, Kids and Lease. During his tenure, he led these businesses to explosive growth within the digital segment of Macy’s. Mr. Schanen career at Macy’s spans over 30 years in key leadership roles in e-commerce, sourcing, buying and merchandising across multiple product categories. He started out on the selling floor at Bloomingdales’s, while working his way through college, and progressed through a broad array of buying and product development roles at Lord & Taylor and Macy’s. In 2008, he joined Macy’s nascent dot com business, where he was soon recognized for leadership, innovation, and aggressively driving sales and profit growth. In 2012, MR Magazine honored him and his team at Macy’s as Internet Retailer of the Year.
He is a board member and former president of the Father’s Day/Mother Day Council, which donates all of its proceeds to Save the Children.
Mr. Shockey is a senior level executive with over 25 years experience in the apparel industry. Ralf's experience in the fashion industry, includes, sales, marketing, merchandising and design.
He has worked along some of the industry's top designers including Ralph Lauren, Jerry Lauren, and David Chu, the founder of Nautica. Ralf launched the Nautica Tailored Clothing collection, and built it into a $40.0 million business. As president of the division, Mr Shockey ran a team of merchandising and sales executives. Nautica was a division of Oxford Industries, who also own Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer and Southern Tide. In addition, Ralf has successfully helped relaunch brands, including Lincs by David Chu, and Tailorbyrd. In addition to the branded business, Ralf has also built private label business for several companies, including Smart Apparel, where he was in charge of the Polo Ralph Lauren account.
Having been in the apparel business for over 25 years, Mr. Shockey has created longstanding "Top to Top" relationships with the executives of most of the major retailers, at all levels of distribution. He is known in the industry as a great "Seller" and customers enjoy doing business with him. Ralf has successfully used his merchandising and design background to identify, new ideas and opportunities, for his customers to drive top line sales.
Mr Sun is a pedigreed fashion visionary with a proven track record leading design teams and executing luxury designer collections.
He has been called “the Asian-American designer to need to know now!” by Forbes, “A rising star…” by The Daily Front Row, and “One to Watch…” in a plethora of features from Marie Claire, Refinery29, and Elle Magazine. Mr. Sun has been a regular on the highly coveted Vogue.com dropdown menu and a member of the Swarovski Collective, DENYC, and an FGI Rising Star Nominee. His creations have been seen on the likes of Lady Gaga, Jesse J, Brittany Snow, Olivia Palermo, Keke Palmer, Ansel Elgort, River Viiperi, and Janet Jackson.
Mr. Sun’s career has spanned the pinnacle of American fashion including leadership positions at houses including Oscar de la Renta, J.Mendel, Thomas Wylde, and Dimmak Collection. Within the industry, Mr. Sun is regarded as a secret weapon for creating luxury strategy and concept design for many design houses both in New York and Los Angeles. In addition, Mr. Sun is the creative director behind his namesake luxury brand, launched in 2011, that has been stocked by the top international retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Boon the Shop, On Pedder, and 10 Corso Como. In 2016, Mr. Sun launched XB OFCL a disruptive menswear label based in Los Angeles.
Mr. Sun graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2006 with “Designer of the Year” distinction and national design awards from the CFDA and YMA.
